Hello world!  After several years on the original site – created with love by my wonderful husband, it was time for a facelift.  Design by Streetlight has grown since it’s inception in 2012 – from displaying my first fumbling attempts at fashion illustration all the way to where we are today!  The aim with the new site is to provide you a polished, visually pleasing experience where you can get to know a bit more about me, my processes and my services, as well as connect you with my social media platforms, Etsy store and most exciting – my mailing list for early access to new collections, and notification of an online course for urban sketching and watercolour, launching in early 2020.

If this is your first time here, welcome!  Please know this entire venture began with both humble roots and intentions on a snowy February morning in 2012.  In the years since I have gained exposure to new opportunities and a world of confidence in several key areas – exploring and honing my craft and my chosen mediums under a variety of unique situations.  I now have a growing Etsy store, have worked with several big name retailers providing live fashion illustration, have had my work grace the cover of a local magazine, and have even had the opportunity to teach watercolour and sketching classes, passing on my knowledge in the way I gained it – from hours of experimentation and without formal schooling.

I hope you’ll stick around to see what’s in store for the future.  As a surprise to no one, my dreams of leaving my full time day job to paint and illustrate for a living are gaining speed and momentum by the day.  2019 has been a transformational year for my and my business.  I’m grateful to have you along for the ride!
