Artist-Typography

I’ve been facing a bit of a digital learning curve this week and thought playing around with this quote would do me some good.  The funny thing is – once I finished it I referenced back to where I’d found it – and realized I’ve quoted it wrong.  It’s actually “Every artist was FIRST an amateur” – Ralph Waldo Emerson.  My good friend Nicole actually has a book of his essays which I happened upon one early morning a lifetime ago while visiting her in Indonesia.  It made for a peaceful morning in a strange place, drinking instant coffee from filtered water and paging through a pretty beaten book.

I’ve got some stuff in the works and look forward to the opportunity to share it with you all – hopefully in the near future.  In the meantime – to anyone struggling with a creative endeavour of any sort – we were all beginners once.  I’m no different from the rest and still have a lot to learn.  Make mistakes!  Make them better!  And happy Wednesday!
