My Leading Lady

Here we are, my first post!  This is one of my very first attempts EVER at rendering the female form.  I asked for a book for Christmas, Drawing for Fashion Designers by Angel Fernandez & Gabriel Martin Roig and that is where my learning started.  Isn’t she cute?  First problem with my text book of choice: it explicitly shows how to lengthen our female form to modelesque standards, and I am quite sure the girl who inspired this one barely topped five feet.  However she was simply too cute not to do anything with, and who wouldn’t want to be able to pull that off?  Adorable short skirt and an animal print headband to boot.  I am clearly thinking of the summer.
