Has anyone heard of  Illustration Friday?  While I was reading up on freelance illustration I found it as a recommendation in a book.  I’ve been checking out the site off and on, but the main premise is every Friday they post a new word and then you can submit your own interpretation of it to their site.  I finally found time this week to sit down and do one, and was able to relate it to my stuff in a way too.  I’ll try to stay on top of those for a while, just for fun.  What do you think of her?  At the start of this project I thought I might be able to use her for a card for a book club invitation or something, but I’m worried the colours are a little too bright.  She’d need to have more sophisticated clothing and surroundings for a card – although she is reading “Masters of Fashion Illustration” by David Downton, which is on my wish list for my birthday.  Did I mention this is my birthday month?  Just throwing that one out there 🙂
