So since embarking on this little endeavor earlier this year, I have been exposed to numerous new trends in the fashion blogosphere, one of them being the peplum.  It’s that extra skirt thing around her waist for anyone else unclear on this one.  Could I wear it?  Mmm…nope.  But it looks cute with the right amount of confidence.

I was also unaware of things as important as New York Fashion Week (NYFW to the in-crowd) and the kick off to that, Fashion Night Out (FNO) which was last Thursday and which seemed to occur in several cities in the States.  Not sure if Toronto or Vancouver had anything?  I’m still a rookie to this.  But the peplum was seen on several fashion bloggers that I’ve been following, and seeing as we are still in NYFW I felt this an appropriate post.  She’s actually one of my early ones – this little tangerine dream was painted back in March.

Have a wonderful week everyone, isn’t lovely that fall is finally upon us?  Art walk is coming up this weekend in Calgary, and I can’t wait to stroll at leisure with my pumpkin spice latte and drink everything slowly in.
