So about the delay with posting…apparently internet stuff happens? This little damsel seemed quite fitting to the occasion, all dressed up and looking so distressed! I heard somewhere that we are so accustomed to seeing our own face in the mirror every day that when we sketch we unconsciously reassemble our own features over what we see. I can see myself a little in this one. Personally I choose to blame it on the small amount of space I have to actually capture features. Give me a full size canvas and I think I do a lot better.
