Last week was a bit chilly and a venture out into the shops had visions of fall coming to mind.  I started dreaming of mustard colored cardigans, and deep burgundy sweaters.  The weather forecast for Saturday was supposed to be rainy and I don’t even think we were slated to hit 20 degrees.  Then Saturday morning when my eyes finally opened, they were greeted with bright blue skies.  The temperatures miraculously soared and boom – we’ve had a full week in the high twenties here.  Lucky for me, the fall season is in full swing in the malls right now – which means I was able to pick up a few summery dresses to waltz around the office in at work this week.

But what about the ensemble above?  I love it, and the girl I referenced it from carried the right attitude of confidence and grace.  Cutouts have been a pretty hot deal this summer.  Cropped tops and high waists too.  But I could never wear that to the office – even if I did possess the midriff to pull it off.

In any event, I’m grateful for the return to balmy temperatures this week.
